A New Chapter

I am three and a half years into my life’s newest chapter, and happy things are happening!

I’m still in Vermont, about 15 minutes up the road from my old place.

And I’m nearly ready to move into my brand-new studio!

Honestly, for a while, I wasn’t entirely sure I still wanted to be a potter. It took a couple of years and a lot of emotional heavy lifting before I was able to see a future in my clay work again.

In the winter of 2023, I decided to begin again and design a new studio.

I sat down with graph paper, sketched out an ideal layout, and texted my friend Matt Cayer (pictured lower right). Lucky me - he was excited to build it!

I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve been designing my very own art studio for three decades.

( Here’s the proof! Shout out to my mom who saves most things. <3 )

There are a few more things on the punch list, but I should be settling in and finding my way around this light-filled space before winter!

Many of you told me you’re excited to see what I make in this space - meeeee tooooo! ;)

Thanks again for being on this journey with me!

xo,

Becca
